 HOUSE TO HOME

Like Osama Bin Laden smoked out of his den,
Like hen driven out of their pen.
They razed down our 25-year-old home,
That which was our life’s epitome.
The builder has promised us a new flat in the same complex,
Time only can see whether his muscles he will flex.
To strengthen the water inflow, they dug a deep well bore,
To our eyes, it was sheer agony that mother earth bore.
A house is built of bricks and cement,
A home is with love and memories that cement.
The relieving factor is the untouched trees and the open well,
That the future always beholds hope and says “all will be well”
